Who do You Impress? Who Impresses You?
In the name of Jesus; may God be blessed as we are blessed with free will to choose who we aim to impress.
In everything we say and do, we should realize the impact we have on impressing God and others. We should aim to be perceived as being an enforcer of God’s word by being a showmanship of positiveness (Jesus) and encouragement, in lieu of negative (wickedness); discouraging behaviors, and words of communication. It’s not what we say but the way we say what we say that is impactful, and it’s not what we do but it’s the way we do what we do that creates happiness or trouble for ourselves and possibly others. I personally ask Jesus to keep my tongue still, remove self(selfish desires) out of my equation, take control and bless me to allow The Holy Spirit to guide my tongue, behavior, and actions. I also make it a habit to apologize accordingly to God and the person/people that I offended. For example: If I tongue lashed or misbehaved inappropriately in public, I apologize in public. We need to discipline ourselves to make it imperative to impress God with our utterance and actions.
Romans 12:1–2 (KJV), “12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
- The Holy Spirit: Paul wrote this doctrine begging his followers, based on God’s forbearance, to use their temple as a tribute, non submissive to wickedness, and approved by God, as evidence of their faith.
Isaiah 41:13(KJV), “13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
- The Holy Spirit: Without hesitation Jesus reassurance is that ABBA Father takes a stand for our righteousness, says to us, do not be afraid of the adversaries; I am with you.
Mark 9:23(KJV), “23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”
- The Holy Spirit: Our Lord told a possessed child’s father, if you can trust, everything is practicable for anyone who has faith.
